You'll have the opportunity to....

 

Work in the lab under supervision of manager to aid in the production and/or purification of polyclonal and monoclonal antibodies. A research associate will work closely with team members and manager to ensure work is completed to internal customer’s satisfaction with respect to quality and timeline.

 

  • Operate AKTA Chromatography Instruments and other chromatographic instrumentation using established methods
  • Collect and record data
  • Operate lab equipment and contribute to maintenance under supervision
  • Review data with supervisor on a regular basis
  • Effectively communicate to internal customers
  • Identifie areas for process improvement
  • Participate openly in group and department meetings
  • Work under strict compliance to standard operating procedures and applicable quality standards
  • Formulate and filters buffers
  • Filter cell culture fluid
  • Perform additional assays
  • Purify monoclonal and/ or polyclonal antibodies and manages the required reagents and materials

 

Who you are and what you bring to the team...

  • Bachelors degree in a biological science (e.g. molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or biotechnology)
  • Minimum 1 years hands on laboratory experience 
  • Computer proficiency including working knowledge of MS Office and Google suites (or related) applications

 

Experience with the following is preferred, but not required

  • Experience with laboratory information management systems (JIRA and CoreLIMS)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented mindset
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
