Position Summary

We are seeking a talented and highly motivated team player to join our IT Operations group as a Security Analyst and work in a fast paced, multi-site, dynamic environment. In this position, you will be primarily responsible for monitoring and maintaining security measures and to manage security related incidents to protect the global infrastructure for Cell Signaling Technology. You will also play a key role in the architectural design, planning, design and implementation of security systems and infrastructure. We are looking for a capable security analyst who is curious and passionate about the ever-evolving information security landscape.

Responsibilities

  • Play a key role with the architectural design, planning, design and implementation security systems and infrastructure.
  • Play a key role in identifying and defining system security requirements.
  • Configure and troubleshoot security infrastructure devices.
  • Maintain and monitor security systems and infrastructure.
  • Perform initial analysis and triage of tickets and alerts.
  • Respond to cybersecurity breaches, identify intrusions and isolate, block and remove unauthorized access.
  • Provides information to management regarding impact on the business caused by theft, destruction, alteration or denial of access to information and systems.
  • Analyze and respond to potential phishing attempts via client phishing process & program.
  • Train fellow employees in security awareness and procedures.
  • Ensure that the company has full visibility into security incidents in a timely manner.
  • Conduct risk assessments on third-party vendors and technology.
  • Conduct periodic security and systems audits.
  • Maintain awareness of current threats and security technologies.

Qualifications

  • BS degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience working in a technical IT role.
  • Experience in one or more of the following IT disciplines: Networking, Cloud (such as AWS) Database, Hardware, Applications, Data Center
  • Experience in building and maintaining security systems.
  • Hands on experience with security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management, content filtering, etc.
  • Experience with network technologies and with system, security, and network monitoring tools.

 

Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Experience with the following platforms are a significant plus: LogRhythm, CrowdStrike, Tenable, Google Enterprise, MediaPro
  • Previous experience with vulnerability management, endpoint security, database and operating system security.
  • Previous experience in Web / cloud security, especially AWS.
  • Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
  • Familiarity with multiple operating systems (Windows, OSX, Linux)
  • Familiarity with web related technologies (Web applications, Web Services, Service Oriented Architectures) and of network/web related protocols.
  • Problem solving skills and ability to work under pressure.
