Position Summary

We are seeking a Senior Research Associate to join our Antibody Technology team, which drives the development of CST’s antibody technologies of the future. This individual will work in a highly collaborative environment to develop and implement innovative immunization methods and antibody discovery technologies. S/he will also focus on enhancing our current high throughput screening pipeline by optimizing molecular biology and next generation sequencing processes.


  • Conduct high throughput PCR and next generation sequencing processes to optimize our current discovery pipeline.
  • Cloning and expression of target constructs as directed.
  • Small scale protein purification and labeling.
  • Maintain accurate and complete product development laboratory documentation, including hard copy notebooks and CST electronic records and adhere to standard operating procedures in lab operations and safety in accordance to Quality Management Systems.


  • M.S. in biology, chemistry or related field plus 2 years’ post graduate experience or Bachelor’s degree with 5 years’ experience.
  • Experience molecular biology with proven record of using technical domain knowledge to solve complex molecular problems.
  • Demonstrated experience with DNA library preparation by PCR, next generation sequencing (NGS) and cell culture of adhesion and suspension cells.
  • Experience designing, executing, and interpreting scientific experiments


Preferred Skills/Experience

  • Background in monoclonal antibody generation or antibody repertoire analysis
  • Prior experience with B-cell biology and antibody engineering.
  • Previous work experience in biotechnology and/or pharmaceutical drug development is desirable.
  • Knowledge of bioinformatics tools.
  • Protein purification.
  • Passion for science and creative mind.
  • Experience writing, contributing to and publishing scientific papers.
  • Proven experience working in a collaborative team environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines for multiple projects and priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-motivated and comfortable working independently or in cross- functional teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
