    Position Summary

    We are seeking a highly organized and enthusiastic Research Associate to join our Conjugation team. The successful candiate will assist the team with releasing new products, supporting existing products and providing technical support for all conjugated antibody product lines.

    Responsibilities

    • Performs experiments focused on conjugation including dye conjugation, bead conjugation, HRP conjugation, biotin conjugation, PE conjugation and PE tandem dyes for the purpose of enabling the release of direct conjugated antibody products and maintain existing product lines
    • Performs protein purification and determination
    • Conducts immunoprecipitation
    • Maintains existing product lines by producing lots
    • Strives to maintain minimum number of products in backorder
    • Provides customer technical support
    • Conducts stability studies
    • Adheres to deadlines and prioritize work accordingly
    • Remains current with scientific knowledge and practices and shares knowledge with team members
    • Maintains accurate electronic laboratory documentation in appropriate systems (e.g. sharearea, electronic LIMS, Jira, PDP, PLM, etc.) in accordance with CST quality systems requirements
    • Follows established protocols for all practices
    • Seeks, champions, and evaluates techniques and technological opportunities that will improve quality, efficiency, or scalability for conjugation product development and QC testing

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in science (e.g. molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or biotechnology)
    • Experience with biological processes
    • Computer experience including working knowledge of MS Office and Google suites (or related) applications

     

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    • 1 year of academic and/or post-graduate laboratory experience
    • Working knowledge of flow cytometry and bioconjugation is preferred
    • Demonstrated understanding and ability to execute on basic experimental design and protocols
    • Knowledge and experience using electronic workflow systems a plus
    • Enthusiastic and motivated collaborator
    • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
    • Current knowledge of literature
    • Strong organizational skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Team-oriented mindset
    • Ability to multi-task effectively and manage multiple priorities at one time
    • Strong communication skills (verbally and written)
