    Position Summary

    As a member of the US Sales Leadership team, The US BioPharma Sales Manager is responsible for leading and supporting a field-based team of Account Managers, focused primarily on BioPharma accounts, in achieving or exceeding their targeted sales goals.

    Responsibilities

    • Plan, organize and implement sales programs and objectives for the region
    • Train, develop, and mentor sales representatives for the region
    • Motivate and educate sales representatives to support their objective of spending a maximum amount of time with customers selling CST products
    • Travel in the field to support, evaluate and train new and existing Account Managers, including participating in trade shows, troubleshooting in the field, and evaluating their skill set and capabilities
    • Visit Customers/partners/consultants at their premises
    • Conduct weekly calls with Reps to troubleshoot, brainstorm and discuss territory plan and performance
    • Manage sales and expense budgets, forecasts, objectives and reports in partnership with US Sales Director
    • Assist in the establishment of realistic sales quotas and methods of assisting Reps to attain the quotas
    • Report to Management team as required enabling accurate forecasting and planning
    • Interact with other departments in the organization to ensure the proper handling of customer requirements
    • Assist Marketing with local or national initiatives

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry or equivalent experience
    • 1+ years or laboratory experience working with antibody applications, preferably Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence (IF) and Chromatin Immuno-precipitation (ChIP)
    • 2+ years of reagent selling experience in life science market space
    • 1+ years proven Sales Management experience in life science market, preferably with antibody solutions
    • Experience with Microsoft Office
    • Experience with a CRM tool

     

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    • Masters or Doctorate degree, preferably in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry or equivalent experience
    • 2+ years laboratory experience working with Antibody Applications, preferably Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence (IF) and Chromatin Immuno-precipitation (ChIP)
    • 5+ years of reagent selling experience in life science market space, preferably with antibody solutions
    • 3+ years proven Sales Management experience in life science market, preferably with antibody solutions
    • Proficiency and experience using Salesforce.com
    • Strong leadership skills and qualities
    • Excellent communication skills
    • Must have strong time management skills and ability to multitask
    • Ability to work in a complex sales environment
    • Excellent presentation skills and a strong closer
    • Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with cross-functional partners and customers
    • Proven sales achievement / track record
    • Able to mentor and coach team members based on each individual’s skillset
    • Must be able to travel a minimum of 60% overnight away from home
