    Position Summary

    We are seeking an enthusiastic Inside Sales Representative, who thrives in a competitive and fast-paced environment, to join our team. The prospective candidate should be self-motivated to meet or exceed goals, establish and maintain relationships with customers, and provide an ongoing high level of customer service and sales support.

     

    The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for sales efforts supporting our small and medium sized academic accounts within the United States. Duties include presenting Cell Signaling Technology, Inc. (CST) capabilities in the marketplace, aggressive prospecting and new business development, providing an interface to the customer, and representing CST products and services in the assigned territory. The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for queue management, setting outbound call cadence, and the execution of marketing campaigns in support of business objectives in efforts to generate qualified leads.

    Responsibilities

    • Maintain an effective time and territory management plan
    • Serve as the sales point of contact for small/mid-sized accounts within the United States
    • Develop sales strategies within designated sales territory to maintain and expand business
    • Set priorities and manage time effectively to uncover and capture opportunities to meet and achieve goals
    • Promote high level of sales productivity, efficiency, and customer satisfaction
    • Manage outbound/inbound customer activities (phone, email) in support of the strategic initiative and goals of campaigns
    • Triage in-bound customer inquiries and follow-up in an effort to convert these inquiries into qualified leads and closed orders
    • Develop and execute awareness and lead generation programs via digital marketing efforts
    • Develop programs to drive e-commerce (web) adoption
    • Acquire customer information (contact/account) and record in CRM
    • Maintain accurate records and files

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or equivalent experience
    • 1+ years of experience in an Inside Sales, Sales Support or Customer service role
    • Experience in a fast-paced, high inbound/outbound call and email environment
    • Experiece using Microsoft Office products
    • Experience with CRM tools, preferably Salesforce.com

     

     

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    • 1-2 years of laboratory experience working with antibody applications, preferably Western Blot (WB), Immunohistochemistry (IHC), Flow Cytometry, Immunofluorescence (IF), and Chromatin Immunoprecipitation (ChIP)
    • 3+ years of experience in an Inside Sales role
    • Strong organizational and time management skills;
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills, specifically phone and email skills
    • Ability to manage high volume of communications (email, phone, and in person)
    • Ability to establish good relationships and credibility with cross-functional partners and customers
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Customer service oriented
    • Outcome/results focused
    • Ability to travel approximately 10%
    • Strong working knowledge of biological sciences
