    Position Summary

    CST is searching for a Senior Research Associate who will join our Proteomics group and support PTM antibody development projects, collaborate with key labs, and be an important contributor for mass spectrometry-based proteomics method development. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to learn principles and operations of LC-MS/MS as well as proteomics sample preparation.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform standard biochemical assays such as western blot and ELISA in a timely manner
    • Cell culture and ligand treatment
    • Perform proteomics sample preparation including enzymatic digestion and peptide purification
    • Perform immuno-affinity enrichment and LC-MS/MS analysis of PTM peptides (training provided)
    • Support proteomics antibody development using tools such as PDP, PLM and JIRA
    • Evaluate OEM-in products
    • Prepare samples/antibody reagents for collaborators
    • Effectively summarize and communicate results of testing
    • Write or modify protocols with newly established or improved methods
    • Maintain accurate and complete hard copy and electronic laboratory documentation in appropriate systems (e.g. notebooks, electronic LIMS, JIRA, PDP, PLM, etc.) in accordance with CST quality systems requirements

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in a biological science (e.g. molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or biotechnology)
    • 3+ years' experience in a laboratory environment
    • Previous experience with ELISA, western blotting systems and mammalian cell culture

    Preferred Skills/Experience

    • Familiar with antibody development pipeline
    • Familiar with JIRA, PDP, PLM, LIMS
    • Exposure to LCMS methods and proteomics
    • Experience in immuno-affiity enrichment
    • Strong writing skills
    • Enthusiastic, motivated, with good interpersonal skills
    • Strong organizational skills and record keeping
    • Strong communication skills (written and oral) and the ability to work in a team environment
