    Position Summary

    We are seeking an entry-level Research Associate to join our fast-paced, highly collaborative team.  The Research Associate will work as part of the Antibody Manufacturing Core to produce and purify antibodies for development. The Antibody Manufacturing Core is responsible for upstream processes to produce monoclonal antibodies in cell culture.


    • Maintain an inventory of hybridoma cell lines free from mycoplasma and other contaminants.
    • Culture hybridoma cell lines using aseptic technique
    • Establish, track and maintain an accurate inventory of hybridoma cell lines.
    • Practice good sterile technique to ensure that cells are free of mycoplasma and other forms of contamination.
    • Conduct all aspects of hybridoma cell culture including media formulation and harvest procedures
    • Conduct periodic cleaning and decontamination of Antibody Expression lab and quarterly cleaning of biosafety cabinets.
    • Provide clarified culture fluid to Antibody Purification Group
    • Maintain hard copy and electronic laboratory documentation in appropriate systems (e.g. notebooks, CoreLIMS, JIRA, etc.) in accordance with CST quality systems requirements.
    • Follow established protocols for all practices
    • Continuously seek, champion, and evaluate techniques and technological opportunities that will improve quality, efficiency, or scalability of cell culture.
    • Effectively communicate to internal customers
    • Work with supervisor to develop experimental approaches and in-depth data analysis


    • Bachelors degree in a biological science (e.g. molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or biotechnology)
    • Computer proficiency including working knowledge of MS Office and Google suites (or related) applications

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • 1+ years of post-graduate laboratory experience
    • Strong communication and organizational skills
    • Hands-on cell culture experience with mammalian cell lines
    • Experience with laboratory information management systems (JIRA and CoreLIMS)
    • Strong communications and organizational skills
    • Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effectively
    • Team-oriented mindset
