    Position Summary

    We are seeking a Research Associate in our Off-the-Shelf (OTS) Production organization to perform centralized workflows as part of a core Western Blot team. This RA will support the production and release of high quality products and data, and must possess the ability to balance bench work, data management, and various cross-functional projects.

    Responsibilities

    • Execute scientific experiments including Western Blotting and immunoprecipitation for various workflows including routine quality control testing, custom lot quality control testing, and raw material testing within established service level agreements.
    • Accurately and efficiently curate data to ensure that various internal databases are constantly up to date with newest, quality data.
    • Perform new product formulations in accordance with established SOPs and service level agreements.
    • Engage in various value-generating projects as needed.
    • Coordinate a variety of product related activities within the team and with others external to the team including the Production Teams, Antibody Manufacturing, Development and Antibody Applications.
    • Maintain accurate and complete hard copy and electronic laboratory documentation in appropriate systems (e.g. notebooks, electronic LIMS, Jira, PDP, PLM, etc.) in accordance with CST quality systems requirements.
    • Follow established protocols for all practices and documentation.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a biological science (e.g. molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry or biotechnology)
    • Demonstrated understanding and ability to execute on basic experimental design and protocols
    • Proven understanding of biological processes
    • Computer proficiency including working knowledge of MS Office and Google suites (or related) applications

    Preferred Skills/Experience:

    • 1 year of academic and/or post-graduate laboratory experience
    • Ability to consistently follow protocols and produce and record data which is clear and interpretable
    • Ability to design and perform experiments independently
    • Willingness to learn new techniques
    • Strong attention to detail
    • Ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities
    • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
